Ordering roller chains and sprockets: details to confirm together

Roller chains and matching conveyor sprockets

Qinglin’s product range includes short-pitch and double-pitch roller chains, along with matching sprockets. When requesting a replacement, provide the model designation and the dimensions that can be verified from the existing assembly.

Start with the complete model designation

Copy the full chain designation from the existing documentation or marking. Include any suffixes rather than supplying only the first digits. The catalog lists multiple models, so a similar-looking name should not be treated as confirmation that two components are interchangeable.

Check the chain and its attachments

The supplied product tables include dimensions such as pitch, roller diameter and width between inner plates where the original data is clear. Compare the relevant dimensions with the current chain. Where attachments, extended pins or support rods are used, show their arrangement and spacing in the drawing.

Include the sprocket and shaft connection

For a sprocket enquiry, specify the chain it is intended to match and provide the tooth count, bore and shaft connection details from the drawing. A photo can help identify the general shape, but it does not replace confirmed dimensions.

Explain the part’s role in the conveyor

State whether the chain drives a mesh surface, a plate surface or another assembly. Include the operating conditions and any constraints at the transfer points. The team can then review the chain, carrying surface and drive details together.

Review the listed range

Browse Roller Chains & Sprockets for the published models and source specifications. Final material, dimensions, assembly requirements and supply details are confirmed for each enquiry. If a dimension is absent from a product page, ask for confirmation rather than assuming a standard value.
