A drawing checklist for your conveyor belt enquiry

A clear enquiry connects the component drawing with the conditions in which the component will work. Use the following checklist to prepare the information you already have. If a detail is unknown, identify it as unknown rather than estimating a critical dimension.
Identify the component and the current arrangement
Specify whether you need a mesh belt, chain plate belt, roller chain, sprocket or complete conveyor. For a replacement, include the existing part name or model and photographs showing both the whole component and its connection points.
Show the dimensions that locate and drive the belt
Mark the overall width and working width separately where they differ. For a mesh construction, include wire diameter, support rod diameter and mesh spacing. For a chain-driven arrangement, show chain pitch and the connection between chain and carrying surface. For plate belts, include plate thickness and the position of guards or flights.
For a complete conveyor, the requested overall length, width, working height and transfer arrangement are useful starting points. Also identify where the conveyor connects to the rest of the line.
Describe the operating conditions
State what is conveyed, its dimensions, the intended load, the required process and the operating temperature. Include exposure to washing, moisture or process chemicals where relevant. These conditions are reviewed alongside the material request; naming a stainless steel grade alone does not confirm suitability.
Add the purchasing details
Include required quantity, delivery destination and the timing you are working toward. Distinguish between a complete assembly and spare parts. If you have a sample, state whether it is available for the team to review.
Send drawings with your message
Use the enquiry form for your contact details and a summary. Supporting photographs or drawings can be sent to [email protected]. Mention the product name in the subject so that the files can be matched to the enquiry.
